Danny Mahealani Goalsteeper Latte

I ordered Daunt’s Teen Wolf Danny Mahealani ‘Goalsteeper' Tea from Adagio a while back and I was super excited to try it. I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but I got sidetracked. It’s made up of three of my favorite teas from Adagio their masala chai, chocolate chai, and coconut.

After having a cup with just a little honey and milk, I decided that I would last night try to make a simple latte with it.

Now, when I order a Chai Tea Latte from coffeehouses, I always ask for little to no water so that is how I made this one. I’m sure that I am probably doing this completely wrong but the outcome was still super tasty.

  • I measured out about 2 cups (or one ingenuitea full) of skim milk (I’m sure you can probably use any percent milk, soy, almond, etc.) and heated it in a pan to boiling (212°F).
  • Once it reaches the correct temperature, take it off the burner.
  • I measured out 4 tsps of the Goalsteeper tea and placed it directly into the milk.
  • I let it steep for ~3 minutes.
  • I then ran it the steeped tea/milk through my ingenuitea (Abuse probably, I know but I don’t have a regular strainer.) and back into the pan.
  • I then placed the pan back on the burner and added 1 packet of splenda, a few drops of vanilla, and a drizzle of honey.
  • I made sure that was all stirred in and dissolved and then poured it into my mug.

Next time, I probably won’t add the splenda as it was a little sweeter than I usually like. Overall, the masala and coconut really came out the most. The chocolate was there but more of a passing flavor rather than a constant like the coconut.
